Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Arrernte Country Landscape, c.1970 by Otto Pareroultja. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,535.00 (€ 4,632.57). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Pareroultja - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghost Gums, which sold at auction in July 2009 for AUD 32,400.00 (€ 18,343.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arrernte Country Landscape, c.1970 von Otto Pareroultja zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 5.535,00 (€ 4.632,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Pareroultja mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghost Gums beobachtet, die im Juli 2009 für AUD 32.400,00 (€ 18.343,65) versteigert wurde.
