Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Summer landscape by Otto Hesselbom was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 11,000.00 (€ 933.79). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Hesselbom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Vårt land" (Our Country) in December 2019 with an auction result of SEK 145,000.00 (€ 13,819.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Summer landscape von Otto Hesselbom im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 11.000,00 (€ 933,79) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Hesselbom erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Vårt land" (Our Country) im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 145.000,00 (€ 13.819,36).
