This artwork by Oswald Herzog achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2008. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Entfliehen sold for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 44,051.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. This high result makes Entfliehen the most expensive artwork by Oswald Herzog that we have observed at auctions so far.
