Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Halbfigur eines Jünglings mit Handgeste (Half Figure of a Young Boy with Hand Gesture) by Oskar Schlemmer was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Auction auction at Sothebys in Cologne in April last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,560.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oskar Schlemmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tischgesellschaft (Group At Table) in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,595,000.00 (€ 3,027,157.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Halbfigur eines Jünglings mit Handgeste (Half Figure of a Young Boy with Hand Gesture) von Oskar Schlemmer wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Auction bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.560,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oskar Schlemmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tischgesellschaft (Group At Table) im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.595.000,00 (€ 3.027.157,92).
