Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blick Auf Rapallo (View Of Rapallo) by Oskar Kokoschka was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 458,500.00 (€ 352,421.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oskar Kokoschka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Joseph De Montesquiou-Fezensac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 20,395,200.00 (€ 18,012,187.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blick Auf Rapallo (View Of Rapallo) von Oskar Kokoschka kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 458.500,00 (€ 352.421,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oskar Kokoschka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Joseph De Montesquiou-Fezensac im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.395.200,00 (€ 18.012.187,58).
