Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Pizza) by Oscar Murillo for USD 75,000.00 (€ 72,653.30). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Oscar Murillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 342,693.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Pizza) von Oscar Murillo für USD 75.000,00 (€ 72.653,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oscar Murillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 342.693,81).
