Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oscar Murillo could be acquired at Phillips in London in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century to Now auction, the work Money Maker! changed hands for GBP 95,250.00 (€ 110,854.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Murillo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 245,000.00 (€ 342,693.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Oscar Murillo konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century to Now wechselte die Arbeit Money Maker! für GBP 95.250,00 (€ 110.854,60) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oscar Murillo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 245.000,00 (€ 342.693,81) versteigert wurde.
