Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Intervalos by Oscar Muñoz was auctioned at Phillips in London in June 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,190.70). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Muñoz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Narcisos, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,807.42).
