Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composición surrealista by Óscar Domínguez was sold in the The Art of the Surreal Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 138,600.00 (€ 164,325.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Óscar Domínguez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,488,826.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composición surrealista von Óscar Domínguez wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Art of the Surreal Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 138.600,00 (€ 164.325,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Óscar Domínguez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.805.000,00 (€ 2.488.826,92).
