Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oscar Bluemner could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the An American Summer auction, the work Untitled (Soho Port, Bloomfield); Untitled (Newark); Bloomfield Lock, North, From Montgomery Street; Oak's Pond, Bloomfield: A Group of Four Works changed hands for USD 1,134.00 (€ 955.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).
