Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Bloomfield); View of Canal From the Top of Plane; Private Road from Belleville Avenue; Untitled (Brookdale, New Jersey): A Group of Four Works by Oscar Bluemner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,197.00 (€ 1,008.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Bloomfield); View of Canal From the Top of Plane; Private Road from Belleville Avenue; Untitled (Brookdale, New Jersey): A Group of Four Works von Oscar Bluemner im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
