Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flying Astro Boy With Phoenix Signed By Osamu Tezuka With Two Antique Comic Books by Osamu Tezuka was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,430.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Osamu Tezuka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All Stars, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,737.27).

Die Arbeit Flying Astro Boy With Phoenix Signed By Osamu Tezuka With Two Antique Comic Books von Osamu Tezuka wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.430,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Osamu Tezuka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit All Stars beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.737,27) versteigert wurde.
