Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Phoenix Original Drawing by Osamu Tezuka was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 29,059.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Osamu Tezuka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All Stars, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,737.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Phoenix Original Drawing von Osamu Tezuka kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 29.059,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Osamu Tezuka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit All Stars beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.737,27) versteigert wurde.
