Despite a disappointment, a good price for Oronzio Maldarelli
This work of art by Oronzio Maldarelli could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Discoveries auction, the work Bianca No. 2 changed hands for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,634.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Bianca No. 2 is the most expensive artwork by Oronzio Maldarelli that we have observed at auction so far.
