Sold at the lower estimate price
In June 2013 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Arthur & Charlotte Vershbow Part Three: The Baroque and Rococo Periods, which included the work Oeuvres... contenant différents fragments d'architecture, et d'ornement. Paris: Gabriel Huquier, ca 1748. by Gilles-Marie Oppenord. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,611.84) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gilles-Marie Oppenord achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Architectural capriccio with fountain and caryatids, an allegory of hunting in the foreground in February 2024 with an auction result of USD 56,700.00 (€ 49,554.27).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Arthur & Charlotte Vershbow Part Three: The Baroque and Rococo Periods durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oeuvres... contenant différents fragments d'architecture, et d'ornement.
