Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection, which included the work Flowering landscape; Orange, yellow and ultramarine; Townscape by Olga Davenport. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 808.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Olga Davenport have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orange Flower in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,470.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowering landscape; Orange, yellow and ultramarine; Townscape von Olga Davenport zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 808,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olga Davenport auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orange Flower im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.470,10).
