In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Olga Albizu. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,434.06) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olga Albizu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September last year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 154,553.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Olga Albizu zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.434,06) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olga Albizu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 154.553,82).
