Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Olga Albizu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,589.77), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olga Albizu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 151,200.00 (€ 154,553.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Olga Albizu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.589,77) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Olga Albizu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 151.200,00 (€ 154.553,82) versteigert wurde.
