Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Walking Away by Oleg Vassiliev was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 73,080.00 (€ 87,169.11). Admittedly, works by Oleg Vassiliev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Sunset in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 468,500.00 (€ 588,552.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Walking Away von Oleg Vassiliev wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 73.080,00 (€ 87.169,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oleg Vassiliev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Sunset im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 468.500,00 (€ 588.552,20).
