Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Materialisation of Gloom by Oleg Vassiliev was sold in the Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in London in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 60,480.00 (€ 70,369.32), 21% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Oleg Vassiliev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Sunset in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 468,500.00 (€ 588,552.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Materialisation of Gloom von Oleg Vassiliev wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 70.369,32) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oleg Vassiliev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Sunset im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 468.500,00 (€ 588.552,20).
