Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection, which included the work In the Field (Abramtsevo) by Oleg Vassiliev. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 45,087.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oleg Vassiliev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Before The Sunset in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 468,500.00 (€ 588,552.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Field (Abramtsevo) von Oleg Vassiliev zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 45.087,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oleg Vassiliev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Before The Sunset im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 468.500,00 (€ 588.552,20).
