It achieved a price of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 112,718.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Admittedly, works by Oleg Vassiliev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Sunset in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 468,500.00 (€ 588,552.20).

Die Arbeit Broken Tree, Tarusa von Oleg Vassiliev kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 112.718,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oleg Vassiliev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Sunset im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 468.500,00 (€ 588.552,20).
