In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work New York by Oleg Vassiliev. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,048.00 (€ 6,715.79), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oleg Vassiliev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Before The Sunset in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 468,500.00 (€ 588,552.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit New York von Oleg Vassiliev zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 6.715,79) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oleg Vassiliev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Before The Sunset im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 468.500,00 (€ 588.552,20).
