Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue double kaleidoscope by Olafur Eliasson was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June 2021. The price achieved of USD 113,400.00 (€ 95,712.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olafur Eliasson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fivefold Eye in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 748,500.00 (€ 1,074,895.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue double kaleidoscope von Olafur Eliasson kam im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 95.712,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olafur Eliasson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fivefold Eye im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 748.500,00 (€ 1.074.895,25).
