Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bell Mare by Olaf Wieghorst was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 24,062.50 (€ 19,897.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Olaf Wieghorst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Opening of the Cherokee Strip in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 193,182.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bell Mare von Olaf Wieghorst kam im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 24.062,50 (€ 19.897,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olaf Wieghorst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Opening of the Cherokee Strip im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 193.182,79).
