Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Ducks and roses under a crescent moon by Okamoto Shuki. The price achieved of USD 3,360.00 (€ 2,786.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Okamoto Shuki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cranes and pine; turtles beneath a flowering tree in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 50,190.00 (€ 46,045.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ducks and roses under a crescent moon von Okamoto Shuki zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.360,00 (€ 2.786,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Okamoto Shuki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cranes and pine; turtles beneath a flowering tree im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.190,00 (€ 46.045,87).
