Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kingfishers with plum and hydrangea by Okamoto Shuki was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2003. It achieved a price of USD 3,585.00 (€ 3,288.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Okamoto Shuki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cranes and pine; turtles beneath a flowering tree in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 50,190.00 (€ 46,045.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kingfishers with plum and hydrangea von Okamoto Shuki kam im März 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.585,00 (€ 3.288,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Okamoto Shuki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cranes and pine; turtles beneath a flowering tree im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.190,00 (€ 46.045,87).
