Admittedly, works by Ohara Koson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk, of monkeys in a maple tree over a waterfall, signed Koson and sealed Koson in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,153.01).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.928,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ohara Koson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk, of monkeys in a maple tree over a waterfall, signed Koson and sealed Koson im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.153,01).
