The first Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926) era, the second Showa era (1926-1989), 20th century
Two oban prints: the first a yoko-e depicting a fleet of fishing boats returning to shore at dusk, signed Koson with red oval seal Koson, 25.5cm x 38cm (10 1/16in x 14 15/16in); the second a tate-e, depicting an ikebana basket brimming over with magnolia, peony, plum, and daffodils on a dark navy blue background, published by Watanabe Shozaburo with a round Watanabe seal at bottom right, probably a post-war printing, signed Shoson with seal Shoson, 38.7cm x 26cm (15¼in x 10¼in); both in card mount.
