Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Ohara Koson was sold in the From Harunobu to Hasui | Japanese Prints across the centuries auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,191.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ohara Koson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk, of monkeys in a maple tree over a waterfall, signed Koson and sealed Koson in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,153.01).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk, of monkeys in a maple tree over a waterfall, signed Koson and sealed Koson im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.153,01).
