Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction Asian Art, which included the work Unknown by Ogata Gekko. The price achieved of GBP 239.00 (€ 343.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ogata Gekko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unknown in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,832.65).
