Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Seasonal Events by Ogata Gekko for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,253.70). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ogata Gekko - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,832.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seasonal Events von Ogata Gekko für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.253,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ogata Gekko mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im Juli 2005 für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.832,65) versteigert wurde.
