Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nyein Chan Su could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections auction, the work Vendors Under Lights changed hands for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,975.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nyein Chan Su - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape 7, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,956.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nyein Chan Su konnte im November 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections wechselte die Arbeit Vendors Under Lights für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.975,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nyein Chan Su mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape 7 beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.956,85) versteigert wurde.
