Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Norman Bluhm could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in August 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Eclectic | New York auction, the work Bacchantes I changed hands for USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,474.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Bluhm konnte im August 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Eclectic | New York wechselte die Arbeit Bacchantes I für USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.474,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
