Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Contemporary Art / Doha, which included the work Sada (From The Graphèmes Series) by Nja Mahdaoui. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 94,927.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nja Mahdaoui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ikhtilej, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 341,000.00 (€ 272,146.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sada (From The Graphèmes Series) von Nja Mahdaoui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 94.927,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nja Mahdaoui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ikhtilej beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 341.000,00 (€ 272.146,85) versteigert wurde.
