Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maqam Al Karama by Nja Mahdaoui was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 74,457.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nja Mahdaoui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ikhtilej, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 341,000.00 (€ 272,146.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maqam Al Karama von Nja Mahdaoui kam im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 74.457,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nja Mahdaoui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ikhtilej beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 341.000,00 (€ 272.146,85) versteigert wurde.
