Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pretino Appisolato by Nino Caffè was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,291.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nino Caffè have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Break From Prayers in March 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,596.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pretino Appisolato von Nino Caffè kam im August 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.291,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nino Caffè auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Break From Prayers im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.596,92).
