Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A fjord at sunset; and a winter fjord scene by Nils Hans Christiansen was sold in the At Home - British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in May 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,613.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nils Hans Christiansen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Skating At Sunset, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,438.77).
