Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A lake by moonlight by Nils Hans Christiansen was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 346.39). Admittedly, works by Nils Hans Christiansen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Skating At Sunset in March 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,438.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A lake by moonlight von Nils Hans Christiansen im April 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 240,00 (€ 346,39) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nils Hans Christiansen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Skating At Sunset im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.438,77).
