Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boy In A Forest by Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,034.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children By The Piano in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 493,133.17).
