Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins Anciens et du XIXe Siècle, which included the work Un Homme Allongé Sur Un Lit, Deux Hommes Debout Derrière, L'Un Lui Tenant La Main (Recto); Et Etude De Jambe (Verso) by Nicolas Poussin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 85,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Poussin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Baptism Of Christ in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,815,000.00 (€ 2,145,117.57).

Im April 2013 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Dessins Anciens et du XIXe Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Un Homme Allongé Sur Un Lit, Deux Hommes Debout Derrière, L'Un Lui Tenant La Main (Recto); Et Etude De Jambe (Verso) von Nicolas Poussin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 85.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
