Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Tents, Standards, Shields, Helmets, Loaded Carts And Other Objects, After Trajan'S Column by Nicolas Poussin. The price achieved of USD 46,875.00 (€ 41,519.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Poussin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Baptism Of Christ in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,815,000.00 (€ 2,145,117.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tents, Standards, Shields, Helmets, Loaded Carts And Other Objects, After Trajan'S Column von Nicolas Poussin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 41.519,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Poussin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Baptism Of Christ im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.815.000,00 (€ 2.145.117,57).
