Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Putti Fighting, Mounted On Goats by Nicolas Poussin for USD 149,000.00 (€ 131,975.20). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings: Part I at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Poussin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Baptism Of Christ in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 1,815,000.00 (€ 2,145,117.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Putti Fighting, Mounted On Goats von Nicolas Poussin für USD 149.000,00 (€ 131.975,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings: Part I bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Poussin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Baptism Of Christ im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.815.000,00 (€ 2.145.117,57).
