Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nicolas de Staël achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June last year. In the 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale auction, the work Composition sold for EUR 567,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolas de Staël erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Composition für EUR 567.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
