Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaes Maes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group portrait of a family in an Italianate garden with an ornate fountain in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 792,000.00 (€ 1,149,543.66).
