Byam Martin, Off The Scilly Isles, 8Th June 1796 by Nicholas Pocock was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,602.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Pocock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Admiral Rodney's flagship H.M.S. Formidable, 98-guns, breaking the line, at the beginning of the Battle of the Saintes, 12th April 1782 in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 180,975.11).

Byam Martin, Off The Scilly Isles, 8Th June 1796 von Nicholas Pocock kam im November 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.602,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicholas Pocock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Admiral Rodney's flagship H.M.S. Formidable, 98-guns, breaking the line, at the beginning of the Battle of the Saintes, 12th April 1782 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 180.975,11).
