Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Roosters by Nguyen Tu Nghiem. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,840.00 (€ 4,334.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nguyen Tu Nghiem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souvenir du passé (Souvenir of The Past) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 82,273.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roosters von Nguyen Tu Nghiem zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.840,00 (€ 4.334,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Tu Nghiem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souvenir du passé (Souvenir of The Past) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 82.273,97).
