In November this year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Mango Garden by Nguyen Trung. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 204,800.00 (€ 24,032.27), 37% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Trung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies in the Peach Garden, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mango Garden von Nguyen Trung zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 204.800,00 (€ 24.032,27) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Trung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ladies in the Peach Garden beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.790,75) versteigert wurde.
