Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Seated Woman by Nguyen Trung was worth HKD 281,600.00 (€ 34,054.20) to a buyer in October this year. This price was achieved in the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art at Bonhams in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nguyen Trung; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ladies in the Peach Garden sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Seated Woman von Nguyen Trung war einem Käufer im Oktober diesen Jahres HKD 281.600,00 (€ 34.054,20) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nguyen Trung; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ladies in the Peach Garden im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.790,75).
