A top price for Nguyen Trung
This artwork by Nguyen Trung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Ladies in the Peach Garden sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. This high result makes Ladies in the Peach Garden the most expensive artwork by Nguyen Trung that we have observed at auctions so far.
